LISTED LIVES is dedicated to lists as seemingly simple, everyday tools that have a profound impact on personal, social, and poetic areas of life. Lists organize, remind, and structure – at the same time, they reveal power relations, routines, desires, and vulnerabilities that often remain hidden. The exhibition brings together artistic positions that examine lists as an aesthetic, performative, and documentary practice. Drawing, writing, archives, memory, and digital data sets become forms of listing, collecting, and cataloging life, perception, and emotion. The spectrum ranges from intimate, personal registers to algorithmic and social systems of order.
A central component of LISTED LIVES is participation: visitors are invited to submit their own lists or contribute on site. These will continuously become part of a growing, collective exhibition. This is complemented by an open, playful installation that offers space for spontaneous drawing, writing, and designing.
LISTED LIVES sees itself as a dynamic project that makes lists tangible not only as a means of order, but also as an expression of experience, imagination, and lived reality.
