                30.05.2024

The Musée in the Blickfelder Festival 30.5 – 9.6.24

Between sending and receiving: We weigh up what and how we want to communicate something. We don’t always succeed. Wanting to say something “correctly” can therefore be quite stressful. Especially if it is perceived as “different” or “not normal”.

As part of “School in the Museum”, a primary school class is taking an in-depth look at the works and biographies of the artists in the current exhibition. The focus is on questions about art, life and expression. The pupils experiment with different materials and formulate their own messages. Their work will be shown during the Blickfelder Festival at the Musée Visionnaire. The knowledge gained from the project is passed on to other school classes and the public during guided tours, and the process of the project, which lasted several months, is documented in a film.

                Public guided tours:

                Wednesday June 5, 2 – 3 p.m.

Early Bird “(K)ein Raum für Kreativität”

What do the rooms we live in say about us? Together we enter the room of Marie Lieb, who was interned in the psychiatric clinic in Heidelberg for years from 1894. She used scraps of fabric to lay out virtuoso patterns on the floor of her room. What prompted her to do this, what message did she want to convey? We do not know. But it is precisely this room for speculation, in combination with the aesthetics of the ornaments, that makes it all the more exciting to immerse ourselves in other worlds of thought, to interpret and imagine – and thus to learn more about ourselves.
We find parallels in music. A new piece of music is created from a thought and interpreted by others. The quartet of the Zürcher-Sing-Akademie tells us how much space the performing artist is allowed.
